My Favorite Rolled Cookie Recipes…and Happy Christmas!

Merry Christmas Eve! I’m going to take the week off, with just a quick Show and Tell post on Friday. But I wanted to take a moment to wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

I also wanted to share my two favorite rolled cookie recipes, you know the kind of cookies that require cookie cutters! The girls and I will be spending the day decorating cut-out cookies, which just may make it the perfect day.

I have two favorite recipes that I use and love – one for sugar cookies and one for chocolate cookies. They are both on All Recipes and I don’t have any changes or notes on either of these recipes. They are both perfect!

Click here for my favorite sugar cookie recipe. (Side note: My mom’s sugar cookie is also mighty fine and uses sour cream. You can find that recipe by clicking here! Her recipe has a bit of a lighter texture than the All Recipes cookies. I don’t feel like I’m describing that correctly, but it’s the best I can do!)

Happy baking and celebrating!

Thanks for your recipes, I made a new cookie recipe this year with a chocolate sugar cookie base, right after baking you top with an Andes mint, let it sit about 6 minutes then spread, half an hour later, voila! delicious mint glazed cookie!

No rolling pin required, just roll the dough into balls with your hands, your girls would probably be entertained with how the mint melts and can be spread–I was!

Guess we’ve (quickly) moved from Merry Christmas to Happy New Year!

I love those cookies with andes mints – SO GOOD! I haven’t ever actually made them – you’re right, would be very fun to do with the girls. thanks for the link!
