Week 262 Menu

Yorkshire pudding for breakfast this morning. It’s been a while…and it was YUM.

Unbelievably, I don’t have any repeats from last week’s plan. That hasn’t happened in a long while!

Easy Peasy Bean Tacos with grilled onions and peppers

    Not feeling well again this week, doctor says sinus infection and lingering cough from earlier pneumonia BLAH!

    Thursday– Chicken Ranch Tacos (yeah, still haven’t made them!)

    Thursday – Hubby’s Birthday so he gets what he wants… Lamb steak for him (beef for me, baby apparently does not care for lamb.. still.., Sweet Potatoes, Brussel Sprouts, Yes, I feel very lucky that this is all the hubby requests to be happy on his birthday! Fairly healthy as well.
    Friday – Salmon, Lentils, Veggies
    Saturday – OUT

    Monday: Mushroom pot pie
    Tuesday: Asian lettuce wraps, peanut noodles and snap peas

    Thursday: Bacon-wrapped roasted cod with garlic and onion, broccoli (hoping my non-fish eater will like it wrapped in bacon!)
    Friday: Chicken piccata, garlic angel hair noodles and salads
    Saturday: Avgolemono with something or dinner out

    Sun – Pasta with spinach — Note: I made this last night and put seared scallops on top. HEAVEN. Tonight I have enough for just the pasta so I’m going to put a bag of spinach in the sauce and see what happens.

    Wed – Loaded baked potatoes

    Thurs – Soup and sandwich

    Oh, thank you! I had no idea what to do for dinner tonight, but now we’ll have puffed oven pancake with lemon and powdered sugar. I love breakfast for dinner, especially when it’s kind of like dessert, too. 🙂

    I’m finally cooking again after over six months of missing my mojo. Pinterest has aided me in finding new and fascinating meal ideas.

    Sunday – leftovers
    Monday – Best Burger Ever with secret sauce, fries, salad.
    Tuesday – Open Faced Sloppy Joe, chips, veggie (or that’s the plan – have class that night and they probably won’t make the veggie)
    Wednesday – Cajun Chicken Pasta, salad
    Thursday – Spinach Tomato Orzo Soup with sausage, hearty bread and cheese
    Friday – Eat Out
    Saturday – Cousin Cosmo’s Greek Chicken, Lemon Roasted Potatoes, green beans

    Saturday: We’ll be out for the dry opening of the restaurant/dance hall we’ll be using for the wedding

    I actually started a blog yesterday to keep track of our meal plans and recipes since currently I go through a spiral bound notebook a month. Would love some company. Thank you everyone for all your menus and recipes, I’ve been reading this blog for over a year and it never fails to inspire me when I have no idea what to make.

    This blog is so great for menu inspiration, thank you! Over the last few weeks I’ve noticed several commenters planning Bibimbap and I had no idea what it was (turns out my nearest Korean restaurant is a 3 hour round trip!). I googled some recipes and thought it looked good so this week I’m giving it a try.

    Mon: Pasta carbonara, salad, mango
    Tue: Quesadillas, salad
    Wed: Chana masala, raita slaw (also inspired by a comment on this blog), naan bread
    Thur: Bibimbap!
    Fri: Dinner out with work
    Sat: Not sure yet, expecting some new cookbooks today so I’ll probably pick from one of those.
    Sun: Dinner at mum’s, taking lemon meringue pie for dessert.

    I’m a CPA so busy season starts today, which means working later hours plus Saturday. I need to start working some simpler meals into the menu!

Highlights for our menu this week include, Strawberry & Pineapple Oatmeal Bake, Braised Venison with Cinnamon Red Currant Marmalade and Butternut Squash Polenta, Baked Pasta in the Manner of the Lady of the House and a Winter Salad.     I’ve been craving stuffed peppers! They’re going on my menu.

    Monday – turkey burgers w/ cranberry sauce, oven fries, salad
    Tuesday – southwest chicken burritos, vegetable tray
    Wednesday – chili (crock pot)
    Thursday – tostadas or taco salad (I plan on using some leftover chili on these)
    Friday – hearty Italian tortellini soup for soup & salad party
    Saturday – stuffed peppers
    Sunday – pot roast, smashed potatoes and green salad (forgot to defrost – so repeating)

  47. It was nice to see the menus. I haven’t made a menu in two weeks, apparently in my last trimester I have decided I don’t like to cook – ugh!!! That is not a good thing, as my family still has to eat (and that is how I make a living.) Also, I wanted to prepare a lot of foods for my freezer so when the baby gets here we have food ready, is that goal completed? Nope, not even close.

    Well, since I bombed this week, maybe I’ll start planning next week, there are a lot of great recipes.

    Little late posting cuz I’ve had a teething baby! I can’t seem to get him happy to get anything done (house is a disaster!) David has even been doing dishes it’s so bad! But here’s my attempt at a menu for the week….I don’t foresee it going very well but I’ll try!

    Week #5:

    Monday: Sloppy Joes/Tater tots/Corn
    Tuesday: Eating out…finally going super grocery shopping
    Wednesday: Lasagna/Garlic Knots/Salad
    Thursday: BLT’s on homemade 7-grain bread/Pasta Salad
    Friday: French Toast from leftover bread/Eggs/Sausage
    Saturday: Chicken Parm Casserole/Green Beans
    Sunday: SUPER BOWL…Steak Burritos/Homemade refried beans-pico de gallo-guac-queso-Spanish Rice and I’m sure I’ll be making other stuff too!

    I didn’t grocery shop until yesterday, so our weekly menu is going from Thursday to Thursday. I may be late compared to all of you, but right on top of it for my household! I’m a first time poster, but have been reading your site for a while. I’ve taken some tremendous inspiration from it, so thanks to all who post their menus!

    Over the next week, we are having:
    Shrimp quesadillas
    Slow cooker beef and barley soup
    Teriyaki chicken (your recipe!), steamed rice and sauteed bok choi
    Slow cooker meatballs, roasted potatoes and sauteed spinach
    Chicken tortellini soup
    Stacked roasted veggie enchiladas
    Butternut squash mac n’ cheese with chicken sausage
