Week 367 Menu

Good morning! Hope you are all having a great day! My Sunday began with donuts and a 6-year-old telling me she does not want to go to church and she is sooooo bored with it. Out of the mouths of babes. πŸ˜‰

I’m trying a lighter version of the Pinterest menu image. What do you think? Do you like it better than the darker version I used the last few weeks? I’ll probably keep playing around with it for a while!

    I just made the browned butter cookies you posted…. YUMMMM! Thank you!

    Sat — we were supposed to go out to dinner, but the little one spiked a fever, so we settled for some Chinese take out.
    Sun — oven chicken fajitas, salad
    Mon — vegetarian chili in the crock, baked fries
    Tues — grilled steak with veggie chili (leftovers) stuffed peppers
    Wed — breakfast sausage & onion quiche, salad
    Thurs — maple glazed ham steak, roasted broccoli, baked fries
    Fri — homemade pizza

    Tuesday naan pizzas
    Wed taco salad with leftover steak
    Thur breakfast
    Friday tuna melts

  3. Sunday: Buffalo chicken dip with pita chips, sweet potato fries, shrimp cocktail, and rice
    The kids are going NUTS over Puppy Bowl right now. They might not be able to keep themselves together for the actual game!
    Monday – Friday (in no particular order)
        – Burgers on homemade buns
        – Individual pizzas on homemade crust
        – Pasta with red sauce
        – Baked sweet potatoes in the slow cooker
    Saturday: Out to a favorite Jacksonville restaurant (TBD)

    Sat: turkey meatball sliders, green beans, glazed carrots
    Sun: tortellini in pink sauce with peas, salad
    Mon: caprese chicken sandwiches, Ceasar salad
    Tues: take out pizza
    Wed: falafel, pita, chopped cucumber salad
    Thurs: pork chops, roasted Brussel sprouts, applesauce, couscous
    Friday: not sure yet

    Monday..chicken stew with butternut squash and quinoa
    Tuesday. Quick stir fry with TJ’s edamame nuggets
    Wednesday. Out for dinner
    Thursday. Easy tomato soup with grilled cheese croutons and my baked crispy chicken tenders
    Friday. Baked egg rolls and pork fried rice
    Saturday. BBQ chicken pizza

    Sunday – ham pizza and buffalo chicken pizza while watching the game
    Monday – Hamburgers and fries (never made last week)
    Tuesday – fend night – I have an meeting
    Wednesday – salmon with baked potatoes and salad
    Thursday – sausage and peppers
    Friday – out
    Saturday – I have a meeting all day – hopefully my husband will cook πŸ™‚

    Monday – Beef tips with mushrooms, peas and noodles
    Tuesday – Perch, French fries, applesauce
    Wednesday- Ham steak, fried potatoes, green beans
    Thursday – Cabbage rolls, mashed potatoes, corn
    Friday – Italian chicken and spinach pasta
    Saturday – Leftovers

    Its my husbands birthday so I let him make some decisions this week!
    Sunday- daube and spaghetti, cake and ice cream
    Monday- crock pot chicken and rice
    Tuesday- smothered pork chops and mashed potatoes
    Wednesday- beef stew
    Thursday- hoping I have some leftovers somewhere!
    Friday- we have a gala to attend so pizza for the kids and sitter
    Saturday finally going out for my husbands birthday!
    Since I made the daube and beef stew and the chicken is in the crock pot, I only actually cooking once during the week. I call that a success!

    Mon: Comfort Chicken & Noodles, roasted cauliflower, and green salad
    Tues: soup from my freezer. Every time I make soup (which has been quite a bit this winter) I have twice as much as my family will eat, so I freeze half. But I rarely take advantage of the ready-made meals in my freezer. But not this week!
    Wed: Frito Pie, Twice-Baked Butternut Squash, green salad
    Thurs: Pinto Rice Burgers; sweet potato fries; green salad
    Fri: out with friends
    Sat: Ina Garten’s Linguine with Shrimp Scampi; fruit salad; roasted broccoli

    Mon: Tortellini in brodo before evening class
    Tue: Turkey fajitas, confetti salad
    Wed: Potato and cabbage gratin with green beans
    Thur: Penne with tomato and mascarpone sauce, green salad
    Fri: Hot dogs, fries and salad
    Sat: Chicken lettuce wraps, baked vegetable spring rolls
    Sun: Dinner at Mum’s

  12. Lunch:

    1. Eat Out (Unless there are icy roads, then it will be salami sandwiches and chips)
    2. Chocolate-chili, cornbread
    3. Salad
    4. Red Lentil Dal, bread
    5. Sweet-n-tangy Roasted Pork Loin, beets, steamed carrots
    6.Spaghetti with Meat Sauce
    7. Grilled Peaches and Pork

    1. Super Bowl Party
    2. Breakfast for supper
    3. Bread, tomato, cheese
    4. Leftovers from freezer
    5. Salad
    6. TBD
    7. Tomato soup

    Eating out of the freezer has been going well. For this week my shopping list contains salad ingredients and peaches. Oh, and milk. Always milk.

    I’m not sure what we’ll have on which days this week, but I think I’ll plan for the following meals:

    Monday – spaghetti, corn
    Tuesday – steak fajitas
    Wednesday – will let my middle child pick as it is her birthday πŸ™‚
    Thursday – roast w/potatoes & carrots
    Friday – out
    Saturday – birthday party: we are doing BBQ chicken legs, tortellini broccoli salad, corn chips, fresh fruit, cake & cupcakes and I’m not sure what else yet

    WED- Lasagna Roll ups, salad and foccacia bread

    THUR- “The Fresh 20 by Melissa Lantz” Spring Roll in a Bowl (with poached Shrimp)

    FRI- Homemade pizzas- Shrimp Thai, tomato basil and BLT

    SAT- BBQ Grill

    SUN- Crockpot French dips

    MON- Red Beans and rice, salad and french bread

    Tuesday: broccoli cheese soup, one hour rolls

    Wednesday: feeding the missionaries, my kids have been requesting orange chicken every time I ask them what they want for dinner, so I guess I’ll make it

    Thursday: roasted veggies & pasta

    Friday: sloppy joes, oven fries

    Saturday: breakfast casserole, fruit

    Sunday: Waikiki meatballs, rice, veggies

    • Oops…didn’t finish sentence above. I’m using up all Super Bowl party leftovers for pretty much every meal this week. I have chili, cheese, veg platter, fruit platter, & hot dogs to work with. πŸ™‚

  30. This diet however is somewhat controversial because reviews about its
    efficiency are mixed and kind of confusing. I can wrap my head around the science of it, but I am still unsure, despite all the digging up of
